Phat Phat: Experience Authentic Indonesian Cuisine with Trendy Dim Sum and Noodles

Ambiance - spacious, modern, it looks like they have a 2nd floor for when it's busy Service - server was very polite and we got our food within 10-15 min Food - Garlic Chicken Wings - super crispy & wasn't too salty Sheng Jian bao - filling was on the sweeter side, edges weren't crispy Nasi Goreng - fried egg was cooked to perfection, chicken was super tender Hot and sour soup - texture was fairly thicker than I'm used to

I was here on a double date with my cuzzos and we really enjoyed our time here! We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and the place was already starting to fill up. We were told that items tend to sell out quick so I recommend getting here as early as you can. By 6pm this place was jam packed. Although it was busy our service throughout was consistent and quick. For my drink I tried the lychee margarita. It was refreshing and fruity. I also took a sip of my husband's hibiscus flower cocktail which had mezcal in it. This was also sweet with a hint of smokiness. As far as food we all shared a bunch of items. The portions here are similar to tapas and I recommend ordering 2-3 plates per person. If you're a big fan of sharing food and trying different items this is the place to be. My favorites here were the pork soup dumplings, steamed veggie dumplings, fried tofu and garlic chicken wings. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. This is a spot where I can see myself trying out the entire menu. IT'S THAT GOOD!!!

Wanted to get together with my cousin and she wanted to try Phat Phat. I came here a few weeks ago. This time we came at 5 pm in hopes to try the dishes that ran out last time. Also to get some of the same dishes we tried that I really liked. We arrived at 5pm and we were seated immediately. The server provided us with menus. When ahead returned we ordered our drinks. I decided to try the Sake. She dropped off our drinks and took our food orders. They did run out of the Salt and Pepper Enoki Mushroom but they did have a dish I wanted to try: Salt and Spicy Eggplant. I tried the Crispy Wontons, Crispy Shrimp with Szechwan Sauce. I had some repeat dishes but I will provide reviews on the new dishes. The Crispy Wontons were crispy and filled with shrimp,Seasame, and shallots. They were pretty good. The Salt and Spicy Eggplant had the right amount of salt and were fried perfectly. Lastly, the Crispy Shrimp was cooked perfect and was not over cooked. The sauce was really good. Overall, the food was great as usual. My cousin and her husband loved the food as well! I enjoyed the night catching up and eating! I'm sure we will be back again.

We tried this restaurant for lunch for the first time. It wasn't crowded when we were there. The place was large and had many tables. The decor was trendy. It looked very nice and neat. We ordered the spicy Szechuan ciao long bao, golden sheng jian bao and stir fried noodles with chicken. They were all good. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate bao. That had a mild chocolate flavor, not too sweet. Overall, the food was good. The service was great. We will come again and try other items on the menu.

I was in the neighborhood and came by for lunch with my mom. The interior was very nice and roomy. We didn't have to wait at all and was seated promptly. I very much appreciate the convenient parking lot and the clean bathrooms. We ordered a variety of items to try because I've read some of the other reviews and there was a mention that the portion is a bit smaller than expected. If I was to compare it to the other restaurants in Chinatown, then yes I would agree that the portions were smaller - especially when you take in account of the price of each item. However everything was delicious - my favorite was the hainan chicken though I did really also liked the sheng jiang baos as well.

What an experience. Here early to meet a great friend & colleague, I ordered the garlic cucumber and salt & spicy eggplant. Garlic cucumber deliciously marinated and eggplant slices light & crispy. He arrived & we ordered a couple old fashioned cocktails, spicy Szechuan xiao long bao, golden sheng jian bao, beef rempah, then chocolate bao for dessert. Fast & attentive service. A little busy yet calm in an 80% full restaurant on a Tuesday night at 7p. The food was truly excellent, we wanted to order more but this turned out to be a good amount for two. A+

I was in the area and their Indonesian menu caught my eye. We stopped by for lunch right when they opened and we were the first ones there. I really wanted to try their beef rempah, but unfortunately they said it wasn't ready yet. We settled on the Sichuan wontons, beef stew XLB, golden sheng jian bao and the mie goreng. I liked the classic Sichuan wontons the best and it's dipping sauce. The other dumplings weren't bad, but I just thought the Sichuan wontons were better. The mie goreng was good, spicy and very saucy. It helps to eat it with rice since it had too much sauce (spicy and salty) for me. If you are looking for the beef rempah, you might want to go later in the day to avoid disappointment. Overall, the atmosphere and decor was nice and the menu was interesting.

Came here in a group of 18 people for a bday celebration. Restaurant feels homey, with a nice high ceiling and upper seating. We had a reservation and only one table was ready when we got there, had to wait 10 minutes for other people to finish eating so that we had our other table for our big group. Employees were nice and helped us combine the tables so that we could all sit in one long table for 18 people. Entrees: 4.5/5 The dim sum here is really good! My favorites were the Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, (soup inside is piping hot) the Sheng Jian Bao, (very meaty) and Siew Mai. The crispy fish with egg floss has a nice crunch with reminds me of fries. The green beans were well cooked and seasoned, and were a nice break from all the meat I ate. Just look at the pics I had way too much food haha. Dessert: 3.5/5 I was really excited to try the Mango Sago because it is a Filipino dish (and I am Filipino duh) so I wanted to see if it reminded me of home. At first, the mango and the chewy sago pearls were sweet and fruity, but then as you leave it in your mouth and swallow it, it has a bitter and sour aftertaste which I was not a huge fan of. The sesame balls were crunchy but the red bean paste inside was average. We really appreciated how the staff gave us a free ice cream dessert with a candle on top to commentate the celebrant's bday. Overall, I really liked the hospitality of the staff, and the cleanliness and modernness of the building. The dim sum was superb! But the dessert I would skip.

Oops we did it again! We enjoyed Phat Phat so we brought friends with us for a repeat visit. We ordered everything we ordered on our previous visit, plus: beef stew, green beans, soup dumplings, phat phat chicken, won tons and chocolate bao. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. Our server was very efficient and our food was brought out fairly quickly. Our friends enjoyed phat phat as much as we did and though we first thought we over ordered--we demolished it all. We are well on our way to becoming phat phat but we couldn't be happier!
